The JBL EON 600 Series range includes the three models shown above - 10" (25cm) Two-Way, 12" (30cm) Two-Way & 15" (38cm) Two-Way, plus an 18" (45cm} Sub-woofer. All models are self-powered with 1000 watt class D amplifiers and feature wireless remote control.
Street prices start at £349.00 for the EON 612 (12" version)
With the exception of the Sub-woofer, the speakers can be used as Front of House (FOH) or wedge monitors and where required can be flown via their M10 suspension points. Secure stacking is facilitated as can be seen by the illustration below.
Around the back of the full range models a number of options are found, including controls for setting up the bluetooth sync., selecting equalisation (eq) presets, and the usual microphone and line selectors plus input gain for the 2 discrete channels, and a master volume. XLR-1/4" combo inputs are provided, plus an XLR loop thru/output for daisy-chaining further units.
Portability is excellent, the cabinets are surprisingly light and have well placed handles on all edges. An easy & safe one-person lift in each instance.
Bluetooth integration is implemented via iOS or Android app., for up to 4 loudspeakers at one time.
Control of bass and treble shelving, plus 3 parametric eq filters - frequency/gain/Q, and master volume for each unit is possible.
A range of units was utilised, for FOH, wedge monitor and side-fill at various venues large and small.
The clarity of the EON 600 range is immediately apparent, with sufficient power available for each venue through careful choice of the number of cabinets.
A pair of the 12" cabinets was sufficient for a vocal PA at small to medium venues, and at larger venues these cabinets were ideal wedge monitors, with the 15" units utilised for FOH.
In a large hall, four of the 15" cabinets were more than ample for FOH, with 2 of the 12" units again used as wedges.
In each situation the sound quality achieved was excellent and portability much appreciated.
Ideal for use in the education sector where safety is a major consideration.
